  • Drake Burrows

    LEAD PASTOR

    Drake serves as the Lead Pastor of Trinity Church. He and his wife Lydia have been married since 2016 and are blessed with two children. He holds a B.A. in Biblical & Theological Studies (Boyce College) and is completing a Master of Divinity degree (MBTS). In his spare time, Drake enjoys spending time with family, exploring the city, meeting new people, and reading good books!

  • Daniel Tanner

    ELDER

    Daniel serves as a lay elder at Trinity Church. He and his wife Ellen have been married since 2021 and are blessed with two children. He holds a B.A. in Supply Chain Management (Baylor University) and a Master’s of Divinity (MBTS). He works full-time as the Director of Financial Aid at Midwestern Seminary.

  • Thomas Hext

    ELDER

    Thomas serves as a lay elder at Trinity Church. He and his wife Aeriole have been married since 2013 and are blessed with three children. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration (Pittsburg State University), an M.A. in Theological Studies (MBTS), and is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Theology (MBTS). He works as a Humanities & Ethics teacher at Faith Christian Academy in Kansas City.

THE ELDERS (or “pastors”) of Trinity Church are men who are called, tested, qualified, and appointed to serve, instruct, care for, and lead the church. They instruct the church in matters of doctrine, provide spiritual care for the church, guard the flock against false teaching, administer the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s supper, and equip the saints for the work of the ministry.

Our conviction is that a “plurality of elders” is both a biblical and practical blessing for the church. The elders of Trinity differ from one another in experience and gifting, and one or two may labor more frequently in preaching than others, yet all are equal in authority and title.

Deacons

  • Ellen Tanner

    Deacon of Communications

    Ellen serves the church by communicating all church-wide gatherings, events, updates, and more.

  • Joshua Todd

    Deacon of Production

    Joshua leads the production team. He trains new team members, organizes the service schedule, creates solutions for production issues, and assists the team wherever needed.

  • Hyacin Todd

    Deacon of Hospitality

    Hyacin leads the hospitality team. She trains new team members, organizes the service schedule, stocks hospitality items, and assists the team wherever needed.

  • Micah Smith

    Deacon of Worship

    Micah leads the worship team. He trains onboarding musicians, facilitates team practices, crafts the weekly setlist, and assists the team wherever needed.

THE DEACONS of Trinity Church are those called, tested, and appointed by the pastors to serve in specific areas of church ministry. From administration and communication to service coordination and events, the deacons meet key needs and allow the pastors to remain devoted to the ministry of the Word and prayer.

THE CG (“community group”) LEADERS of Trinity Church are members of the congregation appointed by the pastors to lead and facilitate in small group settings. While there is no biblical “office” for this role, we believe these leaders are a practical and life-giving blessing to the church.
