OUR STORY

The Beginning

In late 2020, ten of us—then members of Emmaus Church—began meeting in homes across the city to pray about one question: was God calling us to plant a new church in Kansas City?

Over the next two years, God grew that group from 10 to 27 adults, along with many children. Two small groups became three.

In August 2022, we began gathering for worship and Bible teaching in a church member's backyard, and by November we were meeting in a local bakery. There, gathered around Jesus and the Scriptures, our Lead Pastor, Drake Burrows, began sharing the vision that would become Trinity Church.

The First Sunday

On Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, we held our first Sunday Gathering. It was an exciting day as family, friends, and neighbors came together to worship, hear the good news of the resurrection, and celebrate God's church-planting work in our midst.

The Future of Trinity Church

Trinity's story is part of God's larger work in Kansas City—bringing hope to the weary, building gospel-centered community, and inviting people to encounter the love of Jesus Christ. We're hopeful for the days ahead, and we invite you to join us as we follow the way of Jesus together.

We'd love to meet you this Sunday!

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gave the growth.”
