Trusting Jesus and living in His power is one of the greatest joys and privileges we have as believers.
At Trinity Church, our mission is to make whole disciples of Jesus who abide in the Father’s love and walk in the Spirit’s power.
Below are resources that will help you walk with Jesus, enjoy His presence, and experience His power daily.
Step 1 : PRAY
Prayer is simply communion with God. According to the Bible, God is our Heavenly Father who wants us to come to Him with any need, request, or struggle (Matthew 6:5-15; James 4:7-10; Psalm 34:18). Through prayer, we encounter God the Holy Spirit, who comforts, guides, and counsels us throughout our lives (John 14:15-31). We can pray both individually and with other believers, trusting that Jesus meets us in prayer.
Step 2 : READ THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is divinely inspired. It is God’s written revelation of Himself to humanity (2 Timothy 3:15-17). Being totally true and trustworthy, it is the infallible rule of faith and conduct for all believers. This means you and I have the opportunity to hear from God every day in His Word, which is why Jesus called the Bible “daily bread.” You can start simple, choosing one book of the Bible at a time, reading one chapter at a time, or you could try a yearly Bible reading plan (see here for an example).
Step 3 : GET BAPTIZED
Everyone who repents of their sins and trusts in Jesus Christ alone for salvation is called to experience the joy of baptism. It is a holy sacrament of the church. The Bible teaches that the following happens in baptism:
1) We die with Jesus (Romans 6:3)
2) We rise with Jesus (Colossians 2:12)
3) We are baptized into the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:4-6)
4) We proclaim that Jesus is Lord over all things (Matthew 28:16-20).
Step 4 : COMMIT TO A LOCAL CHURCH
The local church is a community of baptized believers who are committed to the “one another’s” of the New Testament. There is no such thing as a solo believer, for all believers are united to Christ and belong to His body (1 Corinthians 12:4-26).

Step 5 : SHARE JESUS WITH OTHERS
One of the greatest ways to stir your faith and experience the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit is to regularly share the good news of Jesus with others (Matthew 28:18-20). Every believer is a “minister of reconciliation” and called to be on mission in all of life (2 Corinthians 5:11-21). The Holy Spirit is the One who empowers us to share Jesus—we do not do this work on our own! The best way for you to begin sharing Jesus with others is to simply tell the story of how Jesus came to you and saved you (Revelation 12:11).
