Trinity Pastoral Fellowship

A year-long formation fellowship for men aspiring to pastoral ministry and lay eldership.

ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP

What is the Trinity Pastoral Fellowship?

The Trinity Pastoral Fellowship is a year-long formation fellowship for men who aspire to pastoral ministry. It is not a seminary, nor is it a class. It is a guided apprenticeship in the “Head, Heart, and Hands” of a pastor, rooted in the ministry of the local church.

Fellows read widely, write carefully, meet regularly, and are formed together in the company of Trinity's elders. The goal is a man who knows God, loves the church, and is being shaped for a lifetime of faithful ministry.

The first cohort launches August 2026. Applications are open June 1–July 15, 2026. Cohort size: 1–5 men. Fellows are selected by Trinity's elders.

"What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also."

2 Timothy 2:2

THE OVERVIEW

What the Year Looks Like

The fellowship runs August 2026 through July 2027 across three formational categories, with built-in breaks for rest, reading, and breadth.

01

Head: The Pastor’s Mind

Aug–Oct 2026. Doctrine and theology. Fellows read deeply in selected theologians on the doctrine of God, Scripture, and Christology, then write and present a monthly paper.

02

Heart: The Pastor’s Life

Dec 2026–Feb 2027. Pastoral ministry, shepherding, and spiritual disciplines. Fellows engage the interior life of a pastor — his soul, habits, and long obedience.

03

Hands: The Pastor’s Skills

Apr–Jun 2027. Preaching theory and practice. Fellows study the craft of expository preaching and prepare a sermon for the Preaching Symposium.

The Preaching Symposium

The year concludes with a Preaching Symposium in late July.

Each fellow delivers a prepared sermon before Trinity's elders and invited guests on a Sunday evening in June, receives feedback, and refines the sermon.

If selected by the elders, Fellows will then preach their sermon on a Sunday morning at Trinity. It is the culmination of a year of formation — head, heart, and hands brought to the pulpit for the people of God.
