DISCIPLESHIP
A Framework for Discipleship
The Discipleship Pathway is our framework for discipleship and spiritual formation at Trinity—our way of inviting you into biblical and spiritual rhythms that are integral to a Christ-centered, gospel-shaped, and Spirit-empowered life.
-
Sunday Worship | Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church to worship, pray together, hear from God's Word, and receive the gift of the Lord's Supper. Find more info here.
Members Meetings | Members meetings are gatherings where we celebrate what God is doing in our midst, welcome new members, share ministry updates, and enjoy fellowship with one another.
Newcomers’ Dinner Gathering | Every other month, we host a causal gathering at a pastor’s home where you can meet other newcomers, hear more about Trinity's mission and vision, ask any questions you have, and enjoy good food and conversation. It's a relaxed, no-pressure environment--just a chance to connect and see if Trinity Church might be a good fit for you.
-
Home Groups | Home groups are small gatherings of 5-10 adults (plus children) that give us time and space to enjoy table fellowship, gospel conversation, and prayerful dependence on God. Sign up to find a group here.
Covenant Membership | Covenant membership is the way we express our commitment to one another as brothers and sisters in Christ in the local church. For more information, visit our Get Involved page. -
Equip Nights | Equip Nights are teaching-centric gatherings focused on specific aspects of our discipleship to Jesus (prayer, fasting, evangelism, etc). Follow us on social media to stay in the loop.
Teaching Nights | In-depth Bible teaching on Sunday nights. Typically 8-weeks long throughout the year. Stay tuned for updates.New to Trinity | We are currently updating this course. Stay tuned for details.
-
Serve the Church | We desire to follow Jesus's example, who" “did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Mt 20:28). Here are three avenues of service e at Trinity:
Hospitality Team: extend the welcome of Christ as people arrive on Sundays by preparing coffee/tea, setting up the space, and greeting people!
Production Team: extend the clarity of Christ by preparing audio/visual equipment for the worship team and preacher.
Worship Team: extend the beauty of Christ by using God-given skills to build up the church with "songs, hymns, and spiritual songs" (Eph 5:19).
Serve the City | Our God is on a restorative mission in the world through the church. We desire to shine the light of Christ in our city through acts of mercy and service. Follow us on social media for updates on service opportunities with our church!
Guiding Values
Our guiding values shape every element of the Discipleship Pathway. When these values are cultivated in the local church, disciples of Jesus flourish and the power of the Gospel is made known to the lost.
-
The Bible is the Word of God and therefore central to the Christian life. As Jesus said, "Man does not live by bread alone but by every word from the mouth of God" (Mt 4:4). We seek to create environments where the Bible is taught and treasured in order to equip every disciple for a lifetime of enjoying God through His Word.
-
Every disciple is a theologian. Put differently, we all have a view of what God is (or is not) like. At Trinity, we simply want be good theologians—those who know God as He truly is. We seek to create environments where disciples at every stage of their discipleship journey are equipped to know God deeply.
-
Every disciple is being spiritual formed. At Trinity, the great end of our spiritual formation is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. We dedicate time throughout the year to focus on the biblical and spiritual disciplines (or habits/means of grace) that shape us into His image. From prayer and fasting to community and Sabbath, we desire for the teachings of Scripture to shape us deeply—heart, soul, mind, and strength.
